Overheard

For streamers

Your commentary is some of the most useful feedback a game developer can get. Here is exactly how we handle it.

What we do

When a developer asks about their game, or when we pick a small indie game for our public radar, we look for public Twitch streams of it and transcribe only the part of the stream where that game was played. We pull out moments that matter to the developer: where you got confused, what broke, what you enjoyed. Every item links back to your VOD at that minute, so the developer watches it on your channel.

What we keep

  • Audio is deleted as soon as it is transcribed.
  • Transcripts are deleted after 30 days.
  • The full report shows short quotes (a sentence or two) with a link back to your original video. It lives at an unlisted link that search engines are told not to index. Only people who have its private link can open it: buyers, the people they share it with, and people who opened it through our free demo checkout, which ran until 24 September 2026.
  • We never publish your quotes or channel name on public pages. Game pages and the radar show counts and short issue titles only, such as “crafting menu hides the recipe list”, and we do not rate or profile streamers.
  • We never re-upload or host your video or audio.

Removal

If you want your content removed from any report, or never included again, use the opt-out form (it asks only for your channel name) or write to us at hello@getoverheard.com with your channel name. We remove it from every report within 7 days and keep your channel on an exclusion list.
